Author Guidelines

The journal reflects the multicultural nature of the authors and does not impose strict writing rules as long as authors adhere to the bibliographic and research paper formatting requirements laid out in the Publication Manual of the American Journal of Psychological Association, 5th Edition (2001).

Abstract. The abstract should be in Times New Roman 10 point.

Headings. Major headings should be centered in UPPER CASE case and Times New Roman 12 point bold. Minor headings should be left justified with Major Words Capitalized in Times Roman 12 point bold italic.

Text. Regular text should be justified Times New Roman 12 point. The first line of each paragraph should be indented (by 27 pts).

Figures. Should be embedded in text and labeled below the figure using sequential numbering, Figure 1, Figure 2...etc. The label should be centered in Times New Roman 12 Bold.

Tables. Tables should also be embedded in text with labeling above the table in sequential numbering. The label should be centered in Times New Roman 12 Bold.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review) have been followed.
